![]() | Christine Botosan Bailli Christine A. Botosan, FWS, SWS, Sherry Wine Specialist, joined the Chaîne in 2021 and now serves as Bailli. A former accounting professor and Financial Accounting Standards Board member, Christine spent a decade helping shape U.S. accounting standards—one of only seven academics selected to serve on the FASB in its history. She recently published her accounting theory book, CONCEPTS. Her wine interests are equally wide-ranging, though Syrah from anywhere is always welcome. She favors the Old World, would happily disappear to Portugal for a week, and believes Champagne requires no excuse. Foie gras with Sauternes remains a favorite pairing. Christine values the Chaîne for friendship, learning, and discovery, and hopes to bring thoughtful leadership to the Bailliage. Outside wine, she enjoys hiking, travel, knitting, reading, dogs, and the blues. |
| Monty Botosan Vice Chancelier-ArgentierMonty Botosan, FWS, CPA Canada, joined the Chaîne in 2021 and serves as Vice Chancelier-Argentier. A retired accountant, he is especially proud of helping grow Idaho Technology/BioFire into a thriving Utah company whose work now impacts lives around the world. Monty and Christine share a passion for exploring the world through its wine regions, from Champagne, Alsace, and Rioja to Tuscany, Portugal, Napa, and beyond. He has a particular fondness for French Rhône-style blends and believes Champagne works with nearly anything. For Monty, the Chaîne is ultimately about camaraderie—sharing memorable food, wine, and conversation with new and old friends. Outside the Chaîne, he enjoys hiking and traveling with his family, community service, tennis, golf, and discovering tiny neighborhood restaurants, preferably in Paris. |
| Cole Johnson Vice Chargé de PresseCole joined the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in 2020 and remains active in the Salt Lake City Bailliage as Bailli Honoraire and Vice Chargé de Media Sociaux. A physician assistant specializing in cardiovascular surgery, Cole has spent more than two decades in healthcare and has trained and mentored countless colleagues along the way. His love of food and wine is driven by curiosity, discovery, and the people gathered around the table. Champagne is a particular passion, with a 2002 Salon shared for his son’s 21st birthday remaining his most memorable bottle. His unforgettable meal was at Paul Bocuse in Lyon. Outside work and the Chaîne, Cole enjoys cooking, photography, live music, travel, and wine study. For him, the Chaîne is about friendship, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences around great food and wine. |

As Senior Vice President of Finance, she brings 25+ years of leadership and strategic thinking shaped by managing complex organizations. She cooks most dinners at home and loves the craft and the gathering it creates, while appreciating a night out. She joined Chaîne to help grow and elevate Utah’s culinary and wine community. Outside work and the kitchen, she enjoys strength training, travel, live music, the outdoors, and above all, time with family. |

She gravitates toward Italian wines—especially Barbera—and will never forget a Listán Negro that seemed to capture the volcanic landscape in the glass. Piedmont is always a great escape, while Champagne is welcome anytime. Mary treasures the Chaîne for its sense of community and the chance to enjoy exceptional food and wine with like-minded people. Outside work, she enjoys family, SCUBA diving, hiking national parks, cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, and planning her next trip to France. |
