Cole Johnson MPAS, FWS Bailli Cole Johnson, is a proud Dad to three great children, and two doodles. Husband and biggest fan of his wife of 20+ years, Cessily. Cole harbors a lifelong passion with art, photography and food. He fancies himself an amateur mixologist and homebrewer, and is always trying to improve his cocktail game. He is obsessed with travel, and loves French café-culture. He often chooses form over function, but acknowledges that fact. Cole has a BS and graduate degrees from the University of Utah. He is a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant, and has 20+ years in healthcare. Cole has served on several boards in the past, and is very excited to serve as the SLC Bailli. | Richard Pater MBA, FWS, SWS Richard is a management consultant and Investment Banker. He graduated with a Masters of Business Administration from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. He currently is the Executive Director and CEO for Guadalupe Center Educational Programs, Inc., Guadalupe Holding Company and Friends of Guadalupe, which collectively make up the Guadalupe School. As an avid lover of wine and food, Richard fully enjoys the comradery that the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs brings. As a member of the Salt Lake Balliage, he served on the board of Directors as the Vice Chargé de Missions, Vice Conseiller Gastronomique, and currently as the Vice Chancelier Argentier, a role he is well seasoned to hold. |

| Sammie Doyle Sammie is the mother of two beautiful children and one neurotic canine. Sean Doyle is her incredibly supportive husband, friend, and professional colleague. She loves her three siblings but says her niece and three nephews are amazing. Her list of favorite activities include fitness coach, foodie, cook, wine lover, traveler (beach is my favorite) and being in the outdoors. She has been an important part of the Deer Valley family for many years. Currently, she serves as Director of Food and Beverage. She says that Deer Valley has provided her with the opportunity to achieve her Level 1 Wine Sommelier and continues to support her eco-friendly values. |
| Sue Geary PhD, FWS, IWS, SWS Vice Chargée de MissionsSue Geary is an experienced administrator, wine educator, and investment advisor. Sue retired from the position of Director of the Division of Services for People with Disabilities in the Utah Department of Human Services, then plunged into wine education to complete the Wine Scholar Guild’s French, Italian, and Spanish Wine Scholar courses and to certify in each. Sue is currently privileged to be teaching the Italian Wine Scholar courses for Wasatch Academy of Wine. Sue has served on a number of governing boards at national, state, and local levels including, most recently, the YWCA of Salt Lake City and First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake City. Sue completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, Master of Education Degree in Special Education and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational Administration at the University of Utah. Her dissertation on the policy-making process leading to Utah’s early adoption of special education won three national dissertation awards. She is the mother of a son and a daughter. She and her wife, Michele, just celebrated 18 years together as well as the anniversaries of all three of their marriage ceremonies in 2013. Some of Sue’s passions are running, gardening, and traveling. |
| Kasey Dubler CMS Certified Sommelier, WSET 3, CSW, FWS Vice ÉchansonKasey has spent his life in Food and Beverage and is currently the State Wine Director for Southern Glaser's Wine & Spirits. He has worked as both an Executive Chef and Director of Restaurants in hotels and restaurants across the west coast. He has a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu, is a French Wine Scholar, and is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. In 2009, Kasey meet the love of his life, Lisa. Kasey is on the Community Outreach board for the culinary program at Salt Lake Community College, one of 5 schools Kasey has been involved with over the years. When not working, Kasey is often found doing what he loves most, spending time with his beautiful wife and their three dogs. His other hobbies often bring him back to the kitchen; whether Kasey is making cocktail bitters from scratch, fermenting random vegetables, or grilling in their back yard. |
